HOMELESS
 
Housing is actually located by client and efforts are coordinated to help make the move possible. Also funding may be available if you
 are facing eviction. Referrals are made to shelters and other community resources.
 
 FOOD
 
Assistance is available to families who find themselves in need of food/baby formula. A voucher will be provided for a participating grocery store.
 
Monthly vouchers are available for nutritional drinks such as Ensure, Boost, Glycernia, ect.
Referrals are also made to the local food pantries in your community
 
 
USDA Commodities
 
USDA Commodities are distributed on a quarterly basis. This is surplus foods provided by the State of Tennessee. Items differ each distribution
 
MEDICATION
 
Assistance is available for medication. Individuals must have original prescriptions and no insurance to cover medications.
 
Assistance in purchasing your eyeglasses are also available. A voucher is provided to participating businesses.
 
RENT/MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE
 
Fundings are available for households who are in an emergency situation. Each emergency situation is reviewed to meet set guidelines.
Funding is available for households who face a homeless situation due to violation of lease agreement. Each emergency situation is reviewed to meet set guidelines.
 
UTILITY ASSISTANCE
 
Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program. This program, funded through the State of Tennessee, assists with high energy costs. Applications are available year round, however, set intake periods for applications are required.
Low Income Home Energy Crisis Assistance. Funding is available until funds are exhausted for households who are in an emergency situation. Each emergency situation is reviewed to meet state guidelines.
Emergency Food and Shelter Grant. Program assists with the current bills for households with an emergency situation. Each emergency situation is reviewed to meet set guidelines.
Thinking of Others and Warming The Hearts. Program assists Rockwood Electric Utility/Harriman Utility Board customers with the current bills for households with an emergency situation. Each emergency situation is reviewed to meet set guidelines.
Limited funds are available to assist in paying a utility deposit to obtain housing if currently in a homeless situation.
